1) What is the paper's thesis? Restate it in your own words.

2) Give at least two suggestions for additional information that would be beneficial in the introduction. Think Who What Where When Why and How.

3) What are the main three topics of the paper? How can these topics be phrased better?

4) Are there examples to support each topic? Are the examples appropriate? Does the writer explain how they tie in to the topic at hand?

5)  Does the writer refute any opposing positions? They should.

7) Does the conclusion make sense? Could it be expanded?

8) Does the writer incorporate outside research from at least two sources into the paper? 

9) Is the MLA style/formatting correct? Make any suggestions for improvement.

10) Does the writer incorporate their quotations into the paper, with necessary transition words and subsequent  analysis, or do they just plop the quotations?

11) Are there any places where the argument needs strengthening? Any logical fallacies, perhaps, or weak reasoning?

12) Where can the paper benefit from more vivid descriptions?
